Proceeds from the Juliet Ibrahim Celebrity Soccer Match which held on May 1, 2016 between female Ghanaian and Nigerian celebrities at the Lizzy Sports Complex has been donated to 4 out of the 7 patients initially targeted to benefit from it. The donation was made on May 12, 2016 at Msuites hotel in Accra, Ghana to Cynthia Greaves , Richard Yeboah , Fredrick Nelson, Ernest Baah. The beneficiaries who all need over 40,000 dollars each for kidney transplants will in the meantime use the donation for their dialysis treatment.

Nollywood actor, Osita Iheme, popularly known as Pawpaw, has revealed that there will be no talks of marriage for him until his ready. Pawpaw is still enjoying life as a bachelor when colleague and close friend, Chinedu Ikedieze, also known as Aki, has been married for over six years. The actor however revealed that he is taking his time.“’Marriage is not a step to be taken because other people are taking it. Even if the person is your twin, you don’t have to do it just because he did it. It is something you do when you are ready. I’ll take that step when I’m fully ready.” he said Osita Iheme, known for his comic role in movies alongside Chinedu Ikedieze have not been seen together in movies and social gathering for a while now, and this has sparked off rumours that the stars are at loggerheads. But Iheme denied the reports saying, “There is nothing really going on between us. There is no movie to feature both of us so we have been doing our stuff separately. If any producer wants us together in his movie, then we shall do it as usual.” The two actors have tiny frames but are giants in their chosen career. Rainstorm destroys Omotola Jalade’s new event centre in Lagos

Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade’s new event centre has been destroyed barely two months after it was launched. The event centre Double Doors Events Place located at 8, Mobolaji Bank Anthony Way in Ikeja Lagos was launched on February 14, 2014 with celebs like Denrele Edun, Cool FM’s Freeze and others in attendance. A source in Omotola’s camp confirmed to THENETNG that the event centre ‘crashed a few weeks back after it was hit by a heavy storm’. On our visit to the event centre, another eye witness told our correspondent, ‘egbon afefe ojo (rain) lo woo‘ (a heavy breeze crashed down the marquee). A worker at the event centre however told us, ‘we brought it down ourself because the venue is small, we want to expand it‘. Asked when the renovation will be completed, he said, ‘I don’t know sir’.
