Woman & Her Housemaid Sell Maid’s 2-Week-Old Baby to Widow for N600,000

A housemaid was arrested for selling her 2-week-old baby in connivance with her boss. Delta state’s commissioner of Police, Zanna Ibrahim, said Miss Ewere Samuel had given birth to a baby girl and after two weeks, she connived with Mrs. Ngozi Okafor Ojei and her husband, Mr. Edwin Ojei, to sell the baby at the cost of N600,000 to one Mrs. Loveth in Abia State. After seeing the maid without the baby coupled with her reckless spending of her N240,000 share of the money, neighbors suspected foul play. The suspecting neighbor reported to the police who arrested Ewere, where she confessed to selling the baby to a woman arranged by her boss Mrs. Ngozi Ojei. Ewere said it was her own mother, currently on the run, who prompted that the child be sold after delivery. Her boss Mrs Ojei claimed that they sold the baby because Ewere could not identify the person who impregnated her and to avoid keeping a bastard child. Commissioner Ibrahim said, “In January 2017, the said Ngozi Ojie came to Ekwuoma (in Ika North East Local Government Area of Delta State) to see the mother of Ewere Samuel after which she took her to Aba. “The said Ewere Samuel delivered a baby girl and the suspect sold the child. The suspect confessed selling the baby for N600,000,” the commissioner explained. While Ibrahim said investigation was ongoing, Ojei’s husband, Mr. Edwin Ojei (50), of No. 22, MCC Osisioma Ngwa, Abia State, who was paraded alongside his wife, said: “I only came home for burial when I was arrested.”

Instagram page @NigerianWomenDiary owner, with real name Adeola Olonilua, was apprehended by Big Church Group yesterday for her defamatory reports about estranged husband of Tonto Dikeh, Churchill Olakunle’s company. She was arrested at 3pm at Tantalizers at Lekki Phase 1. She is still in police custody at Maroko Police state and according to sources close to the company, they decided to let her go after she signed an undertaken.

#BBNaija: Bisola and Bally sneaks into the Big Brother House to have their bath + All that happened this morning after yesterday’s eviction!

The Housemates didn’t wake up to the usual workout today opting instead to play cards in the kitchen (no doubt an attempt to keep their mind off the quadruple Eviction!) TTT, Uriel, Kemen and Bassey were the first ones up but it wasn’t long before people started shuffling out of their beds and into the kitchen for a morning snack. Perhaps it’s the shock of Bisola and Bally’s mock Eviction but Uriel was quite cosy with Efe despite their explosive fight yesterday!

She pulled up from behind and wrapped her arms around him holding him close for quite a long while. For a moment Efe seemed tense but he soon relaxed and went back to his usual habit of making jokes about Uriel’s butt calling it “darker than her face!” Uriel protested saying it was actually lighter before Efe clapped back and said she was “bleaching it then!” The Housemates then headed out to the front yard to stretch and workout. The mood the entire time was decidely somber and they went through all the motions in complete silence. Bally, Bisola, Ese and Jon’s absence in the House was clearly being felt this morning!

Funny enough, Bisola and Bally were sneaking into the bathroom to shower at that exact moment and giggling gleefully at the fact that their fellow Housemates were clueleess about Biggie’s trick. The workout wrapped and people went to shower but Debie-Rise and Bassey decided to pair up and continue exercising leading to this adorable moment!

Earlier, we reported of the singer cum actor’s Lekki house being set on fire – he has now, on his Instagram shared what happened and how he’s grateful to be alive. He shared the photo above with the caption: So there’s good news and bad news. The good news is… I’m thanking God that I’m alive to give the bad news as a testimony. Bad news is… I was laying awake in bed at about 6am , and I just started smelling smoke. Stood up to shut off my tv and ac and realized it was coming from outside my door. Opened it to see the whole stairway was filled with huge gusts of black smoke/soot, and a fire was burning stuff downstairs. The smoke was so much I couldn’t get down past it to see the source of the flames. Rushed back into my room and climbed down from the 2nd floor balcony with my dog… and then got help from the amazing workers and neighbours who helped me put out the flames. Turns out the ac in the living room had caught fire.. I know a lot of ppl have been trying to call and I appreciate it. Maybe the fire burnt some of the network in the house because I can’t receive calls LOL 😂, but instead of calling to say sorry pls just maybe say a prayer and thank God with me. Thank God I was awake to smell the smoke. Thank God we caught it early enough and the damage wasn’t so bad.. it basically burnt some of the stuff that was around it. So awards, portraits, and some small electronics. But thank God, Duke and I are alive and well. We only had to form James Bond and climb down from the top floor balcony LOL 😂😁 Thank God for my neighbors and the amazing workers in and around the compound for helping us escape via the balcony, helping put out the fire, and helping with the aftermath/cleaning. Thank God for life. And I’m not even upset.. I’m just grateful for life and health and for the grace and mercy of God on my life. I figure I’m about to have the best year ever so the devil tried to throw a tantrum. But not today Satan. Not today, not ever. Now sit back and watch me be great. By God’s grace. Amen. But six years into their marriage and three kids to show for it, the soft-spoken Okojie has said that nothing else can break their home. He said, “Prior to our marriage, I’d known my wife for three years; we actually met in 2008. We started living together in 2009 and we got married in 2011. Big Brother added a twist to the game when Ebuka called out 4 housemates, Bisola, Jon, Ese and Bally and told them to leave the Big Brother House… They where escorted to the Arena… and then the eviction proper took place in the Arena, which saw Ese and Jon leave.

.. and then, the host of the show, Ebuka, revealed that Bisola and Bally who apparently had Immunity will be on Vacation for about 2 days thereby making the housemates left in the house to feel Big Brother Evicted the four of them.

Live Nominations won’t hold tomorrow, as Biggie added another twist… He made all the housemates, (except Bisola and Bally) play a game of chance which saw all of them pick envelopes that put them up for possible eviction this week. So, all housemates in the house: Uriel, TTT, Bassey, Efe, Marvis, Kemen, TBoss, Debbie-Rise are all up for possible eviction next week Sunday. In a bizarre twist of events, a Nigerian lecturer, Eno Inyangetuk, took to his Facebook page, to laud his former student, Samuel Okon, who now hawks cake for a living. According to the UNIUYO lecturer, Samuel was his student at Heritage polytechnic, where he was studying accounting. Mr. Eno said he was proud of him as he’s doing the exact opposite of what his mates are doing. His Facebook post below:
