Veteran Nollywood actor, Kanyao O. Kanayo through his Kanayo O. Kanayo Mentoring Academy helps provide youths with guidance, direction, critical thinking, motivational and entrepreneurial skills. The Nollywood legend popularly and affectionately known as ‘KOK’ and, award winning, global money transfer company Transfast partnered in an effort to hire and train local young entrepreneurs through the company’s TransfastCares program. Transfast Global Director of Marketing, Jay Vix emphasized that the company’s U.S. and Canada-based customers name education as one of the top reasons for sending money home to Nigeria. About the path forward for Africa’s youth, Kanayo said, “The road to success is always under construction,” adding, “You don’t have to be great to start but you have to start to be great.” Kanayo O Kanayo is popular for movies like “Lost Kingdom,” “Apaye,” “October 1” among others.
